Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Crisis Services Coordinator, serves as a Master's level professional clinician performing a wide range of direct and indirect mental health and substance abuse services within a multi-community team to provide immediate crisis intervention services to consumers with a mental illness or a mental illness with a co-occurring substance use disorder. Will work remotely as a part of a comprehensive team partnering with the Lansing Police and Fire Departments, to provide immediate treatment as identified to individuals experiencing an emergency in the community. A clinician will partner to identify the appropriate treatment for stabilization along with the provision of following up and communicating with community partners on an ongoing basis. Responsible for extensive case documentation. Assesses challenging behaviors and emotional trauma by interviewing and observing consumers, reviewing appropriate records, and developing a brief crisis intervention plan often using a strength-based model. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission,
policies, and procedures.
