The San Francisco Women's Building is a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, and multi-service community center founded in 1973. Its goal is to provide women and girls with the tools and resources they need to develop to their full potential and participate as equal partners in the creation and governance of their lives and communities.
The Women's Building provides a free, bilingual (English/Spanish) information and referral service. This gives women information on legal services, low-cost health care, affordable housing, HIV and AIDS services, and more. It also provides affordable, accessible, and safe community facilities to many nonprofit organizations serving women and girls.
In addition to office space, the Women's Building provides meeting and event space to more than 100 community groups each year, and its Sponsored Projects program has helped launch more than 160 women's programs and initiatives. [Text adapted from website]

Previously the Forsyth Early Childhood Partnership (FECP), Smart Start of Forsyth County expanded its focus to foster a community-wide focus on young children in Forsyth County. Child care providers, human services and government agencies, the faith community, health care providers, local businesses, and others have collaborated to make their community a child-friendly place to live, work, and grow. Smart Start of Forsyth County programs are designed for low- and middle-class families to receive affordable child care without sacrificing quality, and to increase health care awareness in the Winston-Salem, North Carolina, area. The Social Justice Center is a nonprofit office center cooperatively owned by Madison Community Co-op, the Tenant Resource Center, Wisconsin Citizen Action Fund, and Wisconsin Community Fund. The building houses the offices of the four founding organizations, plus offices of other nonprofits in the incubator space on the lower level.
The incubator groups include Madison Hours, East Timor Action Network, GLSEN, Coalition for Wisconsin Health, New Harvest Foundation, and the Tellurian Peer Project.
