| The Foundation Center describes itself as an independent nonprofit information clearinghouse that collects, organizes, analyzes, and disseminates information on foundations, corporate giving, and related subjects for grant-seekers, grant-makers, researchers, policy makers, the media, and the general public. The Finding Funders section of the website includes search engines for finding both foundations and their (990) IRS tax returns. Foundation sites describe funding priorities and procedures.
