Government Funding

In the United States and Canada, public funds are the primary source of support for domestic nonprofit social, health, educational, and cultural programs. Some public funding is also available for institutions that are for-profit and for international aid. Provided are links to federal, state or provincial, and local government assistance programs.

The University of Michigan Document Center's Federal Government Resources is one of the most comprehensive and easy-to-use directories of its kind on the web. Included are a dozen links to sites that describe available grants and scores of other links accessing information on grants awarded, indexes of eligibility, contracts available and awarded, and lists of federal and state auctions.
