Georgia J. Anetzberger, PhD, ACSW, LISW, is Associate Director for Community Services at The Benjamin Rose Institute, Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, and a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America. Dr. Anetzberger has been active in the field of aging for over twenty years as a planner, administrator, and educator.
Past employment includes serving as Director of the Western Reserve Geriatric Education Center; Associate for the Council on Older Persons at the Federation for Community Planning, all located in Cleveland, Ohio.
Her special interest and expertise is the field of elder abuse , in which she conducted pioneer research on physically abusing perpetrators. She is Associate Editor for Practice Issues of the Journal of Elder Abuse & Neglect, is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse, and has served on elder abuse research panels for the National Institute on Aging and National Area Resource Center on Elder Abuse.
