Center for the Education of Women (CEW)

The Center for the Education of Women—with its mission of service, research, and advocacy — is nationally recognized as a catalyst for change as well as a welcoming place for individuals. CEW provides counseling and educational programs to women and men regarding academic, career, and life issues; conducts social research on policy and gender issues; and advocates for improved policy and practice.

The U-M International Center provides a variety of services to assist international students, scholars, faculty, and staff at the University of Michigan, as well as U-M American students seeking opportunities to study, work, or travel abroad. Student Legal Services (SLS)

Student Legal Services, a unit of the Division of Student Affairs, is a full-service law office available to currently enrolled students at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus. Student Legal Services is staffed by attorneys who are licensed to practice in the State of Michigan as well as the United States District Court and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The Spectrum Center

The University of Michigan Spectrum Center provides a comprehensive range of education, information, and advocacy services working to create and maintain an open, safe, and inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and similarly-identified students, faculty, staff, their families and friends, and the campus community at large. The Michigan Student Assembly (MSA)

The Michigan Student Assembly is the central student government at the University of Michigan, representing students from every school and college. School of Social Work course evaluations are available on the MSA website under "advise."

Student Organization Accounts Services (SOAS)

The primary purpose of Student Organization Accounts Service is to serve Michigan Student Assembly (MSA) registered student organizations. Each SOAS representative is committed to assisting students with their organization’s financial activities and responsibilities. SOAS services are similar to those you might find at any financial institution, except we not only want to assist students, but educate students as well.

The Office of Student Conflict Resolution (OSCR)

The mission of the Office of Student Conflict Resolution is as follows:

Build Trust
OSCR builds trust by conducting an operation that is educationally focused, student-driven, and community-owned by:

  • Supporting the amendment process of the Statement of Student Rights and Responsibilities that is revised and approved by students, faculty, and staff
  • Collaborating with students, student groups, student leaders, and campus departments

Promote Justice
OSCR promotes justice by facilitating conflict resolution for the Michigan community and creating a just and safe campus climate by:

  • Administering the Statement of Student Rights and Responsibilities with compassion, integrity, and fairness
  • Implementing related University policies and developing procedures that provide alternative dispute resolution

Teach Peace
OSCR teaches peace by serving as a campus resource for conflict management by:

  • Providing proactive and preventive educational programming for students, student groups, and campus departments
  • Striving to set the national standard for campus conflict resolution
