Tentative Admission

Regular admission is granted when all requirements for admission to the MSW program are satisfied. Tentative admission is granted contingent on meeting specific conditions outlined in the letter of admission. Tentative admission may be granted for the following conditions:

  • Qualified applicants are admitted prior to the completion of their remaining bachelor's degree requirements. Undergraduate degree requirements must be satisfactorily completed prior to enrollment in the MSW Program, and an official/final transcript that bears the posted degree must be received in our office prior to registration for the first term.
  • Qualified applicants hold a bachelor's degree or the equivalent from a foreign institution.
  • Qualified applicants are admitted under the Provisions for Non-Baccalaureate Degree Applicants.
  • Qualified applicants have not acquired the minimum credit hours for the liberal arts content requirement, including content on the biological determinants of behavior.

Tentative admission is allowed only for one term of study and will be changed to regular admission upon satisfactory performance and/or the fulfillment of any special admission requirement(s) specified. Failure to fulfill requirement(s) as stated in an offer of admission letter may result in cancellation of admission or withdrawal from the School.
