Certificate in Management
A certificate in management is available to experienced social workers who possess an MSW degree from an accredited school of social work. Such practitioners can gain knowledge and skills in several areas: organizational analysis; program design, implementation, and management; funding, budgeting, and fiscal management; personnel management and development; management information systems; program evaluation; and executive leadership.
The certificate program is designed to allow working professionals to complete the requirements in two years. In consultation with the program advisor, students design a program consistent with their professional needs and goals. Nine credit hours of coursework (three-credit courses) are required. All courses are regular graduate-level courses of the School.
